Your goal

What kind of goal you have

Everything you want to sell this month, before costs.

How you sell

What a customer pays you per order: last month's sales ÷ number of orders.

Out of every 100 conversations or quotes, how many end in an order.

Don't know your close rate? Count how many of last week's chats ended in an order, divide by the chats where someone asked about a product or a price, and multiply by 100: if 10 out of 40 became orders, your rate is 25%.

For example, 2 if they order every two weeks. It tells you how many active customers you need.

Selling days

Which month the goal is for

We count Monday to Saturday, from today to the end of the month. Holidays aren't subtracted: take them out if you close.

How's this month going? Optional

In sales, since the 1st. This shows how much is left and your pace.

Selling days from the 1st through yesterday. We count them with the calendar.

How it is calculated

Orders = goal ÷ average order value Conversations = orders ÷ close rate Per day = what's left ÷ selling days

We round up: there's no such thing as half an order, and falling a little short every day means missing the month.

Which lever has the most impact

Three ways to reach the same goal with less effort each day. The figures come from your numbers; the daily ones are averages, before rounding up.

A monthly target on its own doesn't tell anyone what to do on Tuesday. A sales goal calculator turns "I want to sell $30,000 this month" into numbers you can check every morning: orders to close today, WhatsApp conversations needed to get them, and how many customers have to buy from you this month.

From goal to conversations, in three steps

  1. Orders = goal ÷ average order value. How many sales it takes to reach the amount.
  2. Conversations = orders ÷ close rate. How many chats have to start for those orders to close.
  3. Per day = total ÷ selling days. The same plan, spread over the days you're open.

Example: a store aims for $30,000 this month, its average order is $250, it closes one in four conversations and sells 24 days. That's 120 orders and 480 conversations in the month, or 5 orders and 20 conversations a day ($1,250 in daily sales). If each customer buys twice a month, those orders come from 60 active customers. When a division isn't exact, the calculator rounds up: there's no such thing as half an order.

Already halfway through the month?

Enter what you've sold so far and the tool spreads only what's left over the remaining days. Your current pace is sales ÷ days already sold; keep it up and you end the month at sales + pace × days left. With 10 selling days left and $12,000 sold out of $30,000, you need $1,800 a day, or 72 more orders of $250.

Which lever moves the most

The calculator compares three ways to lower your daily effort: raising your average order 10% with bundles, closing 5 points more of your conversations, or selling 2 more days. If 20 chats a day is the real bottleneck, Zavora's WhatsApp AI agent can answer them and take complete orders. See pricing or browse more free tools.

FAQ

Questions businesses ask before starting

How do I work out how much I need to sell per day?

Divide what's left of your goal by the selling days you have left. To turn that into orders, divide the amount by your average order value. With a $30,000 goal, a $250 average order and 24 selling days, you need 120 orders in the month: 5 a day, or $1,250 in daily sales.

What close rate should I use if I don't know mine?

Your own, even if it's rough. Take last week, count the chats where someone asked about a product or a price, and count how many ended in an order. If 10 out of 40 bought, your rate is 25%. Another business's rate won't help: it depends on what you sell, your price and how fast you reply.

How do I turn a profit goal into a sales goal?

Divide the profit you want by your margin. To earn $6,000 at a 30% margin you need $6,000 ÷ 0.30 = $20,000 in sales. That profit comes before fixed costs, so if you also want to cover $3,000 of rent and payroll, the math is ($6,000 + $3,000) ÷ 0.30 = $30,000.

Does it count weekends and holidays?

By default it counts Monday to Saturday, from today to the end of the month. You can add Sundays, drop Saturdays or type the number of days yourself. Holidays aren't subtracted automatically, so take out any day you close.
